Josh completed his PhD in Immunology at the University of Toronto and Princess Margaret Cancer Center. He then moved to work with Michael Rosenblum at the University of California, San Francisco as a Human Frontier Science Program Fellow studying tissue specific adaptive immunity in inflammatory skin disease. Josh established his laboratory at the Knight Cancer Institute in 2022 to investigate tissue resident lymphocytes biology and the role of these cells in cancer development. Besides immunology he loves trail running and backpacking trips in the mountains.

Abrar hopes to contribute to cancer research and potential treatments by understanding immune mechanisms in the tumor microenvironment. Abrar graduated from Laurentian University in Ontario, Canada with a Master’s in Molecular Microbiology. Then, she moved to UBC in Vancouver, British Colombia to pursue her passion for science and a PhD degree in Experimental Medicine. Her PhD research focused on the role of IL10 in inhibiting immune cells and promoting prostate cancer. In her free time, Abrar likes to explore new things, enjoys long walks, hikes, and meeting people.

Postdoctoral Researcher
Rashi recieved her master’s degree from Panjab University, India and her PhD from Michigan Technological University, Houghton. Her PhD thesis focused on assessing the immunogenicity of HPV-L2 based VLPs vaccine against various HPV types causing cancer. After graduating, she pivoted to cancer immunotherapy where she worked on OX40 and other immunotherapeutic agents to understand their mechanism of action. Rashi is currently focused on the role of tissue resident lymphocytes in cancer development. Rashi likes to spend her free time exploring nature, reading books and painting.
